Ways You Can Get Involved

Christian faith is an active faith. To follow Jesus, we believe we must stand up and walk, be it in corporate worship, community service, musical performance, youth outreach, lay visitation, or leading a prayer. Along that walk we expect to be both challenged and affirmed, fed and made aware of hungers, startled and comforted. And in each step that we take we recognize that the Spirit is with us and give thanks.

ONLINE GIVING

At Lincoln Memorial, we believe that giving is primarily an act of worship. Because God first loved us, we enjoy all of the ways of loving him in return, including giving. It allows us to join together in building God’s Kingdom in ways we could not do as individuals. In giving, we also declare our trust in God to care for our needs and can diminish the influence of materialism in our hearts. If God leads you to support the ministries of Lincoln Memorial Church financially, you can do so at any of our weekend worship services or through online giving. And thank you for doing so.

From the next page you can make a secure, one-time donation or set up regularly scheduled giving. You can choose to give to any of our four regular funds:

  • the General Fund provides for all of Lincoln Memorial’s ministries and operational expenses.
  • the Missions Fund goes entirely to our missionary partners.
  • the Deacon Fund is used by our board to assist people in the congregation with financial needs.
  • the Building Fund is used to expedite debt reduction on our mortgage.

Haven’t decided to join us yet? That doesn’t mean you can’t get involved. There are a variety of service opportunities available to you. For example, you may want to serve in our Food Pantry or the Lincoln Memorial Community Garden.

Maybe you are interested in participating in our holiday giveaways at Thanksgiving and Christmas. As a visitor you may participate in many of our activities after meeting all criteria for service.

For example, anyone volunteering with our youth must complete a criminal background check. Anyone volunteering in our transportation ministry must have a valid CDL and proof of insurance. After meeting service criteria, your desire to volunteer is encouraged and welcomed.

Don’t let your decision on membership stop your volunteer spirit. Sign Up and Get Involved!
